Um yeah, you do know that a destroyer is a lot bigger than any of the federation ships, right?

In the original timeline, Nero got his ship heavily modified with modified Borg technology, enough that the ship is somewhat alive and 4X its original size. Though I thoroughly agree that the ship should have had much more than missiles and the mining laser/drill.

If the ship got modified to be 4 times bigger, it sounds more like it was rebuilt, and why did Nero do that, was he a magnet for pirates or something?
